Empire State Pride Agenda, New York's state-wide LBGT lobbying group, threw its annual Hamptons Tea Dance at the Ark Project in Bridgehampton, New York on Saturday. ESPA is crucial to our struggle for the freedom to marry in this state now that the Court of Appeals has refused to end discrimination in marriage. This year the event was very well attended drawing not only from the Hamptons, but also from Fire Island. The music was classic Lady Bunny disco remixes, keeping the dance floor crowded until 7:45 when one of the speakers shorted, emitting thick white smoke which wafted into the air and disappeared in the sky above the Southampton Polo Club.
