I hope a vast audience sees this inflammatory ad for what it is, and that a resulting backlash at the polls propels Republicans into minority party status in both the House and Senate. How dare they use this disingenuous argument to rally support, when they alone have continued the march toward disaster in Iraq for three long years. Deaf, dumb and blind, but they are still able to cut a check to a clever campaign commercial producer.

There is rarely a more eloquent voice raised in opposition to war than that of a soldier. In the case, I urge you to read this compelling open letter now circulating in the blogosphere. It was written by Kevin Tillman, brother of Pat Tillman, who was killed in April 2004 in Iraq by friendly fire---a fact that the military actively conspired to cover up. Kevin and Pat both served in the Army Rangers in the Gulf. Kevin was discharged in 2005. [Update, Saturday October 21: Three and a half years after launching this spectacularly ill-conceived war, Bush met with Generals today to discuss strategy.
