So gridlock is coming to town. At just after 11 a.m. Mr. Surge Protector will make a speech about the economy at Federal Hall, which it happens is where another George was inaugurated as the first President of the United States. Lucky me. My office is just a few blocks up the road. Let's hope he doesn't go for a walk to J&R to buy an iPod! Actually, he will not. He will be whisked away from Federal Hall and returned to Washington in time for mid-afternoon tea. Funny, with Ground Zero just minutes away, you'd think he'd drop by for a photo op. Times have changed. Now, according to the New York Post, Bush wants to meet with the Cesar Borja, Jr., the son of the NYPD officer who died, apparently of 9-11 related illness. 21-year old Borja Jr. was in Washington last week, in attendance at the SOTU address. Just after dinner, but before the speech, he learned that his father had succumbed in a New York hospital. Meeting with the late Mr. Borja's son, a caused promoted by Senator Clinton, is a political minefield for Bush no matter how you slice it. Read more here.
