BREAKING NEWS...

AP reported at 11:56 a.m. that New Hampshire passed a civil union bill that makes that state the first in the nation to establish civil union by legislative initiative without court order (those would be Romney-Bush's imaginary "activist judges"). In fact there is no litigation pending in New Hampshire; the legislature moved without being threatened with a lawsuit. The bill has passed the Senate 14-10 and the Governor Bill Lynch has said he will sign it into law. So please feel free to celebrate. (Thanks, RR for the tip.) Huffington Post has an interesting comment on civil unions in NJ and the continuing fight to achieve the full, equal right to marry for gay and lesbian couples.
