It has been frustrating to see Senator Clinton allowed to glide to the primary on September 12 without ever having to face a serious debate on her votes in support of the war in Iraq. I could not in good conscience vote for Clinton given her stated opposition to marriage equality for all New Yorkers, whereas Tasini has stated unequivocal support for marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples. Let's hope Clinton faces a strong challenger in the presidential primaries, if as it seems almost guaranteed, she will seek the party's coronation, er, nomination.
